Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2006
(16.2% alcohol) Bright, dark red-ruby color. Aromas of black fruits, mint, pepper and milk chocolate. Rich, broad and exotic; sweet but not over the top. A very fat, fleshy zinfandel that's just this side of heavy. Finishes plump and sweet, with tannins in the background.

Score 91/100 · Drink 2005-2010, Robert Parker, Dec 2005
From a vineyard planted in 1937, the 2003 Zinfandel Aldo’s Vineyard boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as a big, tactile impression with loads of glycerin, spice box, pepper, and heady black cherry, raspberry, and currant fruit. Full-bodied yet surprisingly well-balanced, this is a big, chewy, pure, well-proportioned Zinfandel to drink over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (707) 257-7555; Fax (707) 257-0105
