Tasting notes
A composition of the best barrels and lots of the year, the 2023 Zinfandel California is sourced from the Old Hill Ranch, Monte Rosso, Bedrock, and Belany vineyards in the Russian River Valley, with just a touch from Beeson. The idea is to offer a complete picture of Zinfandel here in this vintage. In the glass, it reveals layers of red raspberries, a hint of sweet cedar, forest earth, sweet herbs, and a floral perfume of fresh lavender. Full-bodied, it boasts ripe, well-defined tannins and a long-lasting finish. Drink 2026-2046.

A very pretty, ripe and vibrant wine that has more life and lightness than many zinfandels. While full-bodied, it backs up vivid raspberry and blackberry flavors with mouthwatering acidity and light tannins. This is almost pure zinfandel from Bedrock’s home vineyard that dates to 1888. Drink now.
The 2023 Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard is a dense, potent wine with varietal character dialed up to the maximum. Rich, creamy and layered, the 2023 explodes from the glass with macerated dark cherry, menthol, licorice, rose petal, new leather and cedar. The Bedrock Zinfandel is marked by a serious core of mid-palate density.
The 2023 Zinfandel Old Vine comes from vines averaging 80 years old, and Bedrock farms the fruit for about 75% of this blend. It has expressive aromas of wild berries, licorice, earth and spice. The medium-bodied palate is rounded and smooth with a balance of concentrated, mineral-driven fruit and vibrant acidity, and it has a long, nuanced finish.
