Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is one of the most distinctive wines in the range. Iron, game, grilled herbs, leather, cedar, tobacco and cedar lend striking aromatic nuance and complexity. There's plenty of Veeder tannin and acid, but also the fruit to balance things out. The 2018 is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc taken from three vineyards.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is a barrel sample blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. Opaque purple-black colored, it is a little broody to begin with black earth, tar and truffles scents giving way to a core of baked black currants, black cherry compote and blackberry preserves plus hints of cigars, sautéed herbs and iron ore. Full-bodied, firm and grainy, the palate is packed with earth-laced black fruits, finishing long and mineral laced.
