2018 Sauvignon Blanc Georgia

The single vineyard 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Georgia is a more Bordeaux Blanc styled effort, with gorgeous notes of buttered lemon, grapefruit, salty minerality, and honeyed flowers. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, it's getting up there with some of the top Sauvignon Blancs coming out of California.

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Georgia emerges from Robin Lail's Totem Vineyard in Yountville. Creamy and ample, the 2018 is a gorgeous, textured Sauvignon Blanc that balances richness with energy. Lemon confit, mint, orchard fruit and jasmine all grace this striking, wonderfully detailed Sauvignon.

Coming from a dry-farmed, three-acre vineyard in Yountville, the 2018 Georgia Sauvignon Blanc was fermented and aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 70% new. It slides seductively out of the glass with notes of pink grapefruit, white peaches and lemon drops plus hints of coriander seed, mandarin peel and honeysuckle. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a gorgeous satiny texture with intense stone fruit and citrus layers supplemented by loads of savory and mineral nuances, finishing long with a zesty lift. 461 cases were made.
