Even better, with brilliant minerality, richness, and depth, the 2010 Château Sixtine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve Sixtine (also 100% Roussanne) is loaded with honey-laced stone fruits, apricot, vanilla crème, and toast like aromas and flavors. Mouth filling, rich, and classy, it’s aging gracefully (I reviewed this last year as well) and has another 2-3 years or prime drinking to go.

Bright gold. Explosive aromas of poached pear, passion fruit, vanilla and mace, with slow-building florality and a hint of tarragon. Broad, palate-coating orchard and pit fruit flavors show impressive depth and energy, with no rough edges. This very extroverted white wine finishes with excellent power and lingering sweetness.
