2002 McCrea Cellars Syrah Boushey Vineyard

Saturated deep ruby. Varietally accurate if somewhat reduced aromas of roasted plum, currant, game and gunflint. Sweet, dense and lush, with flavors of cherry liqueur, cassis, nutmeg and gunflint. Not quite long or convincing enough to merit an outstanding rating, but this very smooth syrah should provide early pleasure.
