Tasting notes
One of the more pure, elegant wines in the lineup, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard reveals a dense purple hue as well as perfumed, vibrant notes of blue fruits, spring flowers, graphite, and crushed rock. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's flawlessly balanced and has polished, ripe tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's beautifully done and shows the more elegant yet pure style of the vintage. Give bottles 3-4 years and enjoy over the following two decades.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is a powerful, driving wine. Dark plum, iron, smoke, gravel and dried herbs abound. This is an especially extracted style. Ultimately, the Farella feels a bit compact. It would have been nice to see more site character here.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color, sailing out of the the glass with notes of prunes, baked blackcurrants, mulberries and mincemeat pie plus hints of Chinese five spice, menthol and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied, the palate is solidly built with a firm line of ripe, grainy tannins and compelling freshness, finishing long and mineral laced.
