Tasting notes
The 2019 Rocks & Fog is a new Syrah-based blend in the range taken from Limerick Lane, Collins and Front Porch Farms. Dense and richly textured, the 2019 is packed with dark fruit, tobacco, leather, spice and menthol. All the elements build effortlessly into the huge, palate-staining finish. This is an impressive debut, to say the least.

The 2019 Rocks & Fog checks in as a blend of 79% Syrah, 13% Grenache, and the balance Viognier and Petite Sirah. It saw 10% whole clusters and aging in just 4% new French oak barrels. Another beautiful wine from this estate, it has a terrific nose of ripe blueberries, blackberries, and currant-like fruit to go with hints of bacon fat, peppery herbs, and loads of violet and floral nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate, it shows the purity, elegance, and finesse-driven style of the vintage beautifully. It’s already drinking nicely yet will certainly evolve for at least 7-8 years.
