Tasting notes
The 2015 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill is pale to medium ruby in color with an earthy nose of tar, scorched earth and stewed black tea over a core of sour cherry fruit and cola. Light to medium-bodied, it has great intensity of ripe red fruits with gobs of juicy acidity and firm, grainy tannins, finishing long with lovely floral notes. 145 cases produced.

Deep red. Mineral-accented blackberry, cherry cola and violet aromas are complemented by a floral nuance and hints of licorice and succulent herbs. Chewy and concentrated yet energetic as well, offering densely packed red and blue fruit and spicecake flavors that are supported and firmed by a spine of smoky minerality. Finishes very long and taut, displaying lingering dark berry and spicecake qualities and building tannins. Give this promising Pinot some patience.
The 2015 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill Vineyard impresses with a wild mix of Earl Grey, stone dust, dried citrus and strawberries. Mineral-tinged red berry fruits and rosy inner florals emerge on the nose, all supported by juicy acidity. The palate remains structured yet remarkably fresh, tapering off with excellent length and a wild berry resonance that pinches at the cheeks and leaves the mouth watering for more.
