Tasting notes
Limpid yellow. Highly perfumed melon, tangerine and vanilla qualities, along with fennel and a smoky mineral quality on the intensely perfumed nose. A subtle hint of leesiness comes up slowly and carries onto the palate, which offers succulent Meyer lemon, white peach, honeydew and toasted brioche flavors accented by a dusty mineral nuance. Silky and focused on the impressively long finish, which leaves zesty mineral, chamomile and iodine notes behind. Fermented and raised for 18 months in French oak barrels, 27% of them new.

The 2017 Chardonnay opens with notes of gunflint and stone, fleshing out to quince, baked apples and peaches with nuances of honeysuckle, hazelnut and baker's yeast. Medium-bodied, rounded but refreshing, the palate is concentrated and finishes savory. 1,000 cases produced.
