Tasting notes
Sadly, there are only 180 cases of this profound Pinot Noir. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as a super-ripe bouquet of black fruits, smoky oak, grilled meats, and berry jam. Full-bodied, exceptionally well-delineated, with admirable fruit, purity, and intensity, this statuesque Pinot Noir can be drunk over the next 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 431-1174

Dull developing red. Idiosyncratic aromas of cherry cough syrup, mocha, underbrush, chocolate and minerals; hints at volatile acidity in the manner of some California pinots of the late '70s. Fat, thick and mellow on the palate, with a layered texture and lovely sweetness. Finishes with soft, fine tannins and lingering fruit. This is not a wine I'd risk cellaring, but it's long on personality.
