Limpid gold. Pear, orange zest, white flowers and minerals on the nose; deeper toast and honey notes add depth and carry onto the palate, contributing roundness to the lively citrus and underripe orchard fruit flavors. Finishes with very good breadth and length and an echo of bitter orange pith. Still on the young side, this blanc de blancs benefits from aeration.

The 2002 Brut Millesimée possesses a core of perfumed fruit that emerges with superb class and pedigree. There is a sweet, almost liqueur-like quality to the ripe pears, white peaches, flowers and mint that is especially captivating. The Millesimée is made from the estate's oldest vines. This bottle as disgorged in July 2008.
