Tasting notes
The 2021 Sangiovese Estate comes from vines planted in 1994 on the Stolpman estate, and the wine was matured for around 20 months in neutral oak. It has layered scents of red cherry, Italian plum, steak sauce, dusty earth and botanical nuances. The medium-bodied palate features understated fruit supported by clay-textured tannins and bright acidity, and it has a long, latent finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in bottle. 1,750 cases were made.

Pure black cherry, mulberries, toasted spice, savory herbs, and sandalwood notes all emerge from the 2021 Sangiovese, a remarkably pure, balanced, elegant Sangiovese with plenty of tannins and a fresher, focused, yet still textured and lengthy style. It's beautifully done.
