Slightly more reductive, with bright citrus and salty minerality notes, the 2015 Chardonnay Soberanes Vineyard has good tension and focus on the palate, with the higher acid profile of the vintage. It has terrific purity and is certainly an outstanding Chardonnay. Give bottles a few years and it will keep through 2025.
Limpid yellow. Vibrant, sharply focused citrus and tropical fruit aromas are complicated by mineral and herb nuances. Chewy, focused and expansive on the palate, offering intense Meyer lemon and pear nectar flavors that show a touch of smoky reduction and tighten up steadily on the back half. Closes with firm grip, solid thrust and impressive tenacity, leaving suave mineral and floral notes behind.
