The 2016 Pinot Noir Tondre Grapefield, which spent 17 months in 60% new French oak, sports a medium ruby color as well as a rounded, seamless style, notes of dried cranberries, sappy herbs, and spice, nicely integrated acidity, and a good finish.

Bright ruby-red. Sexy, mineral-tinged cherry and red berry preserve aromas pick up floral and cola nuances with air. Sweet and focused in the mouth, offering juicy black raspberry and cherry cola flavors and a strong suggestion of rose pastille. Quite lively given its power, finishing with solid punch, even tannins and a touch of vanilla.
