Medium garnet, the 2018 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley is somewhat reductive to begin before opening to generic cherry and berry fruits and earthy, herbal accents. The light-bodied palate is restrained, simple and juicy.

Moving to the Pinot Noirs, the 2018 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley would be a great introduction to Pinot Noir from the region as well as to the style of Foxen. Lighter ruby, with a beautiful bouquet of spiced cherry and strawberry fruits interwoven with subtle forest floor and floral notes, it's medium-bodied and has a wonderfully pure, elegant texture, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish.

The 2018 Pinot Noir (Santa Maria Valley) is perfumed and nicely lifted, with lovely red berry fruit and aromatic presence. This mid-weight Pinot has tons of sheer appeal.
