Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2007-2016, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2004

The 2002 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle reveals a nose of sweet oak and talcum powder-coated berries. Reminiscent of a Charmes-Chambertin, it stylishly displays opulent layers of sweet cherries. Medium to full-bodied and lush, this beauty has outstanding richness yet is structured by copious quantities of ripe tannin. Drink it between 2007 and 2016. (from the same owner who supplied the Sentiers) Good ruby-red. Lively aromas of black raspberry, menthol and spicy oak. Supple, sweet and minty; the wineÂ’s cool flavors suggest moderate ripeness.
