Possessing a deeper ruby color, with notes of framboise, spice box and dried herbs, the 2014 Pinot Noir Mesa is medium-bodied, plump and mouthfilling, with more upfront fruit than the other releases. It drops off on the finish, but is still an impressive, nicely put together Pinot that will drink nicely for 4-5 years.

One of the more distinctive wines in the range, the 2014 Pinot Noir Mesa emerges from a block of Martini clone Pinot first planted in 1973 on own-rooted wines. From the outset, the 2014 is pliant, supple and expressive. Hints of earthiness, tobacco and game add shades of nuance and personality throughout. This is another pretty, delicate wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring.
