Score 91/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2015
The 2013 Pinot Noir Mesa emerges from a parcel of own-rooted Martini clone Pinot planted in 1973. One of the signatures of the Martini clone is a wild palette of aromatic nuances, which the Mesa has in spades. Sweet red cherry, pomegranate, kirsch and wild flowers abound in a bright, high-toned Pinot loaded with nuance and personality. The flavors are bold and punchy in the Mesa, the most complete wine in the Riverbench lineup this year.
