The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Solomon Lot 70 reveals a dense ruby/purple color, more blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with chocolate and espresso roast, and full-throttle flavors. It is a rich, powerful, concentrated 2008 that slightly eclipses his Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a 15-20-year wine. A quick look at barrel samples of the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa and 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Solomon Lot 70 reveal similar qualitative styles. Both may be slightly more fruit forward than their 2008 counterparts, but they are dense, rich and seriously endowed.
