Limpid yellow. A highly perfumed bouquet displays fresh pear, nectarine, orange pith and chamomile scents, and a smoky mineral flourish builds in the glass. Chewy, tightly focused pear skin and white peach flavors are underscored by a vein of juicy acidity and pick up tangerine and tarragon nuances with air. A mineral note adds definition to the impressively long, seamless finish, which leaves pear nectar and floral notes behind. Made with indigenous yeasts and no added enzymes, and raised in a combination of concrete and oak vessels.

Made from 100% Godello fermented in barrel and concrete, the 2018 Regueirón sports a medium gold color as well as crisp, clean notes of lemon curd, white flowers, crushed stone, and a sense of salty minerality. Vibrant and medium-bodied, it has a terrific sense of precision, outstanding balance, and a great finish that makes you salivate. Enjoy bottles over the coming 2-3 years.

The white 2018 Regueirón was produced with Godello grapes from one 0.6-hectare vineyard planted 25 years ago; the vineyard also contains a little Treixadura and Albariño on a slate-terraced slope. This fermented in four 500-liter oak barrels and a 700-liter concrete vat, where the wine matured for 16 months. This is serious, austere, a little closed but at the same time more relaxed and less reductive, like it's more harmonious. It's a white with energy and finesse, more insinuating, nuanced and subtle. This is already impressive, but it should develop nicely in bottle. This was the first time they vinified this plot, which is impressive. 3,400 bottles and 60 magnums produced. It was bottled in March 2020.

Aged 50% in concrete, 50% in oak. Clay-loam and slate vineyards around Éntoma. Light struck-match character on the nose and definite texture on the palate – though certainly no overt oak character. Real lift to this wine with fine acidity and some elegance. Citrus notes. A beginning, middle and end to a wine that shows some potential for ageing. Definitely more to than the Pagos de Galir bottling. (JR)
