Grown on Laurelwood soils at 450-600 feet in elevation and aged for 11 months in 46% new French oak, the 2015 Pinot Noir Riservata Estate is pale to medium ruby in the glass and opens with pure red and black cherries and berries aromas over a core of mushroom, wet soil and decaying leaves with baking spice accents. The palate is light to medium-bodied with a good concentration of ripe fruit and spice, a frame of grainy tannins and good juicy acidity to lift the long spicy finish. 300 cases produced.

Deep brilliant red. Mineral-accented aromas of fresh dark berries and cherry are complicated by a spicy topnote and a suggestion of candied flowers. Pliant and appealingly sweet, offering cherry compote and black raspberry flavors that deepen slowly on the back half. Finishes smooth, sappy and very long; smooth, rounded tannins contribute shape and grip.
