1999 Nigl - Veltliner Senftenberger Piri

Harvested in mid-November. Smells of sugar snap peas, fennel and smoldering wood. Bursts into flame in the mouth with a searing intensity of lime peel and white pepper in a brothy matrix of meat and minerals. Has a marrowy richness the previous wines seem to have been building up to and a juicy vivacity in another class, leading to a long, complex expression of diverse animal, vegetable and mineral elements.
