Score 84-86/100 · Drink 1997-2005, Robert Parker, Jun 1997
A moderately-endowed nose of spicy new oak and sweet, ripe redcurrant fruit is followed by a straightforward, monolithic style of Cabernet Sauvignon that displays some appealing softness, but not a great deal of depth or length. It is correctly as well as cleanly made, but neither concentrated nor long. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. (Tasted in barrel.) Tel. (707) 963-8271

Good deep red. Black cherry, herbs and an exotic floral nuance on the nose. Round and velvety, with an easy texture for the vintage. Finishes with dusty, even tannins and very good but not outstanding length.
