Ruby-red. Perfumed, floral aromas of raspberry, cherry sour candy, mace and clove (this was vinified with a high percentage of whole clusters and it shows). Fat and smooth but not overly sweet or heavy; the strong berry flavors are lifted by a rose petal floral character. Not especially complex but light on its feet. Finishes with some unabsorbed acidity and a suggestion of violet pastille.
