Tasting notes
The 2017 Zinfandel Limerick Lane Vineyard contains 1% Petite Sirah, Peloursin and Trousseau and was aged in 20% new French oak. Medium to deep ruby-purple, it features chocolate-covered blueberries, dusty black plum, warm peach, charcuterie, potpourri and exotic spice. Medium-bodied, silky and giving, it offers loads of chocolaty fruit, with gently chewy tannins and very juicy acidity, finishing long, layered and a bit warm. 117 cases were made.

I think the finest Zinfandel in the lineup is the 2017 Zinfandel Limerick Lane Vineyard, which comes from a site in Russian River and vines planted in 1910. Deeply colored, with awesome notes of cassis, violets, sandalwood, spice box, and earth, it hits the palate with incredible power and richness, yet is always weightless and seamless, with beautiful tannins. This is a magical, almost perfect Zinfandel that should be snatched up by readers. It will keep for 10-15 years.
The 2017 Zinfandel Limerick Lane Vineyard is one of the more complete wines in the range. Pliant and supple, with terrific drive, the 2017 has so much to offer. All the elements come together in an effortless, complete wine. Silky and polished, the 2017 has so much to offer. It is without question one of the more complete wines in the range.
