Tasting notes
A pretty bouquet of dusty rose, crushed rocks and wild strawberries make the 2019 Red Wine Columbia Valley a total pleasure on the nose. There’s a pleasant inner sweetness up front, complemented by textures of pure silk, as mineral-tinged red and blue fruits cascade throughout. Peppery inner florals combine with black olive and a salty flourish, while the 2019 finishes spicy and impactful. I love the contrasts of salty and sweet as this blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah calls me back to the glass over and over again.

The 2019 Columbia Valley Red Wine is a different blend, checking in as a Grenache-heavy mix that includes 40% Syrah. Iron, tobacco, smoked meat, and crushed stone notes all define the nose, and it's another medium to full-bodied, concentrated, almost backward wine that should pick up more sweetness of fruit with 2-3 years in the cellar. It will drink well for a decade.
