Score 95/100 · Drink 2019-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2019
All three of these wines from Edward Snider (Lewis is Edward’s middle name) are brilliant. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley (96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, brought up all in new oak) offers a gorgeously rich, textured, yet also weighty style as well as impressive Cabernet fruit, tobacco, and earthy aromas and flavors. It has a layered, balanced texture, fine tannins, and a great, great finish, and as Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon goes, it’s a smoking value.
