Score 91/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Sep 2016
Made from three different clones (113, 114 and 115), the tiny production 2014 Pinot Noir Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard spent 11 months in 50% new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Possessing a terrific bouquet of forest floor, funky earth, crushed flowers, ripe black cherries and framboise, this beauty is medium-bodied and silky on the palate, with nicely integrated acidity, fine, present tannin and good, although not great, length on the finish. Drink this charming, elegant Pinot Noir anytime over the coming 7-8 years.
