The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Three Acre has turned out beautifully. Plump, juicy and deeply expressive, the 2013 is quite expressive this year, especially within the context of the vintage. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, new leather and licorice meld together in a supple, creamy Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next decade or so. Dollops of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc round out the blend.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Three Acre is quite pretty and soft, especially within the context of a year that yielded generally big, structured wines. Hints of violets, lavender and cloves add nuance on the inviting, supple finish. This is a terrific entry-level offering from David Arthur.
