Tasting notes
Saturated, deep red. Knockout nose offers aromas of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, baking spices, brown sugar and dried rose petal; I would have picked this blind as Morey-Saint-Denis. Sweet, lush, very ripe and round, yet almost magically light on its feet. Finishes very long and ripe, with sweet, noble tannins. The yield here was barely one ton of fruit per acre. From a vineyard planted to Dijon Clone 115 and owned by the Martinelli family.

Made from Dijon Clone #115, the deep ruby/purple-tinged 2003 Pinot Noir Burnside Vineyard reveals a big, sweet bouquet of plums, blueberries, red currants, spice box, and herbs. Rich and concentrated, with impressive purity and a long finish, this Pinot will benefit from 12 more months of bottle age. It should evolve for 7-8 years, perhaps longer. Tel.
