The 2015 Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands gives up notes of ripe grapefruit, lemon curd and honey drizzled peaches with hints of ginger, lemongrass and chalk dust. Light to medium-bodied, finely crafted and refreshing, it offers delicate citrus and mineral flavors in the mouth with some savoriness coming through on the finish.
The appellation 2015 Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands release sports a light gold color as well as a richer style in its buttered citrus, honeysuckle, and white flower aromas and flavors. It has good density on the palate, as well as bright acidity, and is a great introduction into the Santa Lucia Highlands, as well as the quality of the Testarossa wines.
Light gold. Ripe melon, tangerine and honey on the nose, complicated by mineral, clove and ginger notes that build in the glass. Silky and seamless on the palate, offering juicy honeydew and orchard fruit flavors and a refreshingly bitter orange zest accent that adds spicy cut. Smoothly blends richness and vivacity and closes with bright mineral lift and strong, floral-driven persistence.
