2015 Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey

The 2015 Clos Haut-Peyraguey is powerful and a little oaky on the nose, with dried honey, orange pith, stem ginger and toffee apple aromas, though it needs more delineation. The palate is very pure and medium-bodied with a viscous entry, a fine line of acidity and plenty of botrytized fruit toward the caramel-tinged finish. The 2015 is seductive. The 2015 Clos Haut-Peyraguey has a lovely quince and marmalade scented bouquet with just a hint of kiwi fruit tucked underneath. The palate is well balanced with a viscous texture, well judged acidity, notes of dried honey and ginger toward the persistent finish. Very fine, smooth and seductive, though not the most profound.
