Tasting notes
Vivid straw-gold. Ripe melon, pear, vanilla and oak spices on the nose; lemon pith and floral nuances build in the glass. Shows very good depth as well as energy on the palate, offering mineral-accented Meyer lemon, nectarine and buttered toast flavors that pick up a floral accent on the back half. Strongly repeats the pear and honey notes on the long, subtly sweet finish, which delivers powerful thrust and a suggestion of toasty lees. 45% new French oak.

The 2017 Chardonnay Clos du Soleil Vineyard comes from Dijon clone 76 vines and aged 15 months in 36% new French oak. It has inviting scents of Golden Delicious apple, roasted almonds and hints of chamomile and quince peel with nuances of spring honey, hay, stone and mushroom. It’s medium-bodied, rounded, silky and savory with tangy acidity and a long, honeyed finish. Pure pleasure!
