Score 86/100 · Drink 2016-2023, Robert Parker, Dec 2015

Rombauer's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 17 months in 70% new French oak, is a solidly made, slightly compact and monolithic style from a blend of 87.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The color is a deep ruby/purple, the wine medium-bodied, lacks a bit of charm and complexity, but is satisfying and certainly capable of lasting 5-7 years.
