The 2022 Cabernet Franc Blueline Estate spent 18 months in two-thirds new French oak, yet there's only a slight cedary accent on the nose—the rest of the aromas are gently herbal-leafy, with hints of crushed stone and baskets of ripe cherries. It's medium- to full-bodied, supple and silky, with ample length on the finish.

The 2022 Cabernet Franc Blueline Estate is all from the estate Blueline Vineyard in Calistoga. Exotic red and blue, fruits, flowers, baking spices, and hints of chocolate all show here, and it's a pretty, complex, nuanced 2022 that has medium-bodied richness, soft, supple tannins, a good sense of focus and purity, and outstanding length. Drink this spicy, complex Cabernet Franc over the coming decade.
The 2022 Cabernet Franc Blueline Estate is another terrific wine from Hourglass. The exotic aromatic intensity of Franc comes through loud and clear. Rose petal, mint, cinnamon, dried herbs and coffee are all beautifully lifted. This is a very strong showing.
