Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ceanda comes all from St. Helena and is based on 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Petit Verdot and Merlot. Aged 20 months in 75% new oak, it has a pure, layered, balanced, and full-bodied style as well as textbook notes of darker currants, tobacco leaf, new leather, and chocolate. Its oak is beautifully integrated, and again, the purity of fruit is remarkable. Drink it over the coming 15-20 years. There are 947 cases produced.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ceanda is a blend mostly from Aida and Vineyard 29. Blackberry jam, chocolate, spice, graphite new leather, licorice, espresso and crushed rocks are all kicked up in this potent, Cabernet Sauvignon. Attractive savory notes from the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in the blend add character. The 2019 is a gorgeous wine that offers plenty of richness and intensity but in a more approachable style than the flagships.
