Ripe, concentrated fruit is dense and impressively expressive for a wine of this many years. A polished, tactile palate drips with chocolate ganache, fine black-raspberry puree and brandied cherries. A sprinkle of dried thyme joins an umami bass-note throughout the finish. Drink now.

Showing plenty of oak, the 2008 Pinot Noir Domaine Lois Louise is another big, chunky, concentrated effort that has lots of currants, toasty oak, spice, and licorice aromas and flavors. The oak resin shows on the tannin, and this concentrated effort needs more charm, elegance and finesse.
