Tasting notes
Limpid magenta color. Potent aromas of blackberry, Indian spices, vanilla and incense are complemented by a sexy floral nuance and a hint of smoky minerality. Supple and expansive on the palate, offering alluringly sweet dark berry, cherry-cola and fruitcake flavors that take a spicy turn on the back half. Finishes very long and floral with slow-building tannins and resonating vanilla and baking spice notes. (40% whole clusters and 54% new French oak)

Medium ruby-purple in the glass, the 2016 Pinot Noir Red Hills Vineyard has a perfumed nose of crushed black cherries, warm blackberries and blueberries with nuances of peppercorn, wet leaves and underbrush plus suggestions of allspice. Medium-bodied with a wonderfully silky texture in the mouth, it gives good layers of blue and black fruits, peppery spice, earth and sweet baking spice. It’s framed with grainy tannins and great juicy acidity, finishing long and flavorful. 800 cases produced.
