Tasting notes
Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir le Pre du Col Vineyard has pretty rose hip tea and garrigue notes with underlying cranberry, Bing cherry, bay leaves and damp earth notes. Medium-bodied and finely crafted in the mouth, it has a lovely frame of very fine tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and earthy.

Limpid ruby-red. Vibrant, sharply delineated aromas of raspberry, Asian spices and potpourri are lent urgency by a strong mineral flourish. Juicy, spicy and focused on the palate, with showing vibrant cut and mineral lift to the red berry, rose pastille and spicecake flavors. Finishes impressively long and aromatic, with resonating florality and silky tannins sneaking in late to contribute shape. There's a lot of immediate appeal here, but I'd give this sexy Pinot at least a few more years of rest.
