Dark red. Aromas of raspberry, coffee, mocha, flowers and exotic woodsmoke. Sweet and fairly pliant but powerfully structured and backward, with a strong impression of extract. Finishes with pepper and oak notes and fairly fine tannins. But this big boy needs a few years of additional bottle aging.

(aging in 80% new and 20% one-year-old barriques) Full ruby. Musky aromas of raspberry, violet, minerals, mocha, espresso and oak. Sappy, floral and nicely delineated, with very pure, perfumed flavors of raspberry and violet. Offers a lush texture and impressive subtle persistence, with very fine tannins. Promises to be Barruol's most aromatic and successful Cote-Rotie vintage to date.
