Score 90-93/100 · Drink 2012-2032, Robert Parker, Dec 2009
Revealing the most opaque color of these offerings, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Baconbrook’s abundant notes of blue and black fruits, forest floor, graphite, and vanilla are followed by a tannic, rich, backward wine with undeniable minerality. It should turn out to be outstanding after 3-4 more years of bottle age. It will last 20+ years. This small boutique operation includes a 7-acre parcel on Butterdragon Hill north of St. Helena, and a smaller 3-acre plot called Baconbrooke, which is part of the Spring Mountain appellation. The unbottled 2007s exhibit a slightly sweeter fruit character than the 2006s. Tel. and Fax (707) 968-9040
