Tasting notes
The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is now fully mature. Succulent dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, coffee and worn-leather are signatures of a wine that is fully mature. Even so, there is enough depth to allow for a few more years of aging.

The Somerston 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon has excellent depth and a firm backbone of tannin. Dark cherries, grilled herbs, game and menthol all come together on a powerful, incisive frame. A focused, vibrant finish rounds things out nicely. This is another wine with excellent potential. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. Craig Becker heads up winemaking for both the Somerston and Priest Ranch labels. This year I was particularly impressed by the Priest Ranch Cabernets because of the superb value they offer. Tel.
