2018 Antica Terra Rosé Angelicall

Limpid, amber-rimmed red. An expansive, hypnotic bouquet evokes fresh strawberry, pomegranate, persimmon, blood orange and exotic spices, along with building floral and botanical herb notes. Stains the palate with penetrating red fruit, floral pastille, five-spice powder and fresh bay flavors that deepen and become sweeter through the back half. Shows superb clarity, spicy thrust and resonating florality on a wonderfully persistent finish that eventually leaves juicy red fruit and star anise notes behind. This stunning, intriguing and singular wine stretches the definition of "rosé" way out there and I count it as consistently among the literal handful of the very best pink(ish) wines in the world. - Josh Raynolds
