Bright ruby-red. Black raspberry, chocolatey oak and smoky minerality on the nose. Silky in texture, with a restrained sweetness to the flavors of currant, graphite and chocolate. Finishes a bit low-toned, with building dusty tannins and plum and chocolate notes.

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate includes small quantities of Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Revealing a deep ruby/purple color, a big, intense, masculine mouthfeel, and plenty of power and tannin, it needs time to round into an accessible wine, but it shows good balance, structure, and purity.
