Tasting notes
Bright crimson. Clean, fresh, vibrant nose. Good vital fruit with obvious but not-too-obvious oak ageing. Straightforward and brisk. (JR)

A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 5% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa’s dark ruby/purple color is followed by plush, opulent black fruits intermixed with subtle background oak, good glycerin and flesh, and a heady finish. This juicy, front end-loaded, consumer-friendly Cabernet should be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 963-7777
Merryvale's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is quite a bit fresher and more vibrant than the 2009. The tannins are a bit firmer and the wine has a greater sense of overall structure. Cinnamon, plums, black cherries, mint and mocha are some of the many nuances that flesh out on the vibrant, delineated finish. There is a lot to like in this promising, delicious Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2010 is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot.
