Pale yellow-gold. Distinctly Chablis-like aromas of lemon ice, menthol and minerals. Dense and stony, with excellent inner-mouth lift to the licorice and menthol flavors. Still quite unevolved. Most impressive today on its very long, strong aftertaste, which features terrific energy and cut. This was aged in 50% new oak but I never would have guessed it. Hands off for at least a couple years.
