Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2027, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2019

The 2017 Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard, aged in 50% new French oak, has a pale ruby color. The nose offers aromas of toasted coconut, fresh tobacco leaves, woodsmoke and crushed Bing cherries with notes of blackberries, underbrush, fragrant earth and a light framing of oak spice. Medium-bodied, it offers great flavor intensity and layering, with a finely grained frame and seamless freshness on the long, nuanced finish. 850 cases produced.

Ripe and generous with very attractive fleshiness and fine tannins. This has plenty of cherry and raspberry aromas that add to its abundant appeal. The finish is really long and lively. Drink or hold.
