Tasting notes
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Martin Stelling Vineyard is one of the most reticent wines in this range. Today, the tannins are incisive, while the fruit is not especially expressive. Hints of smoke, graphite and tar gradually open in the glass, but the Martin Stelling is clearly a wine that needs time to deliver the full breadth of its pedigree.

Very ripe, almost raisiny character, but there\'s a freshness and brightness to this red. Full body, soft tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink or hold.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Martin Stelling Vineyard is an Oakville site, which has often been one of the cornerstone components of Far Niente’s Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky purple in color to the rim, this has almost primordial richness, dense black fruits, gravelly notes in the background, and terrific intensity in a full-bodied mouthfeel with plenty of cassis and blackberry. Quite full-bodied with big tannins, this is an impressive and potentially very long-lived wine to drink between five and 25 years from now.
