Tasting notes
Starting with his white, the medium-gold colored 2015 Chardonnay Penhoet Toyon Farm offers lots of Meyer lemon, crushed rocks, pear, and spice aromas, medium to full-bodied richness, vibrant acidity, and a clean, crisp finish. This beauty strikes a good balance between richness and freshness and will drink well for at least 5-7 years. I continue to love the wines from winemaker Benoit Touquette and his latest 2015s are brilliant across the board.

The 2015 Chardonnay Toyon is scented of honeyed peaches, pink grapefruit and baking bread with a touch of beeswax. The medium-bodied palate offers great elegance, with a suggestion of creaminess to the texture, a racy acid backbone and nice, long, savory finish.
